This morning after breakfast Arsuha and drive to Lake Manyara are for lunch at your lodge. Afetr lunch we will proceed for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Located in the northern part of Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park is 330 sq kms, and is well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake and its flamingos, we are talking about breathtaking scenery!

After an early breakfast, or a packed breakfast travel towards the Ngorongoro area and descend to the crater floor for a half day in the Ngorongoro Crater. This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley. The Crater actually is a gigantic fracture of the earth’s crust. The magnificent landscape consists of volcanoes, mountains, plains, lakes, forests and archaeological sites. At 1600 meters altitude the bottom of the Crater (265 km square), dotted with watering holes, offers shelter to almost 30.000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. The Crater elephants are strangely, mainly bulls. There is a small number of black rhino. The bird life is largely seasonal and is also affected by the ratio of soda and fresh water on the Crater floor. You will also explore the wildlife: lions, elephants, zebra, hippo, buffalos, and rhino are just a few to be mentioned. Today you will enjoy picnic lunch at the crater floor.
Following this experience, we continue to check into Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, which enjoys one of the best locations perched high on the Crater wall with magnificent views. Later enjoy a sundowner experience at the Crater Rim as we marvel at one of the world’s most fascinating topological areas.

Depart today from the lodge to drive down the western side of the Crater and into the Serengeti National Park.
Continue with a game drive en route to check in to Kubu Kubu Camp which is perfectly positioned to be within easy reach of different parts of the park and an array of areas of interest and diverse habitats and wildlife. The camp is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking Central Serengeti with views towards Western Serengeti, within reach of mythical locations such as the famous kopjes masais, Seronera valley and the Grumeti river.
Enjoy the next three days on daily game drives in Tanzania’s most prolific wildlife arena. The choice is yours whether you would like full day game drives with a packed lunch or morning and afternoon game drives with time to enjoy the camp’s facilities in between such as the pool.

This morning you depart your camp with a game drive en route to the Northern Serengeti. Arrive for check in to Mara Mara Tented Lodge set deep within the northern Serengeti’s prime wildlife area, Mara Mara Tented Lodge offers perfect luxury from which to witness the Great Migration and to explore the more remote corners of Tanzania’s oldest and most famous National Park. Peaking between June and November, guests can observe an annual wildlife spectacle quite unlike any other, as over a million wildebeest, zebra and other ungulates move into the northern Serengeti in search of fresh grazing and water.
The lodge consists of tented chalets with en suite facilities, including family rooms. It is divided into two camps, north and south. Guests at each of the two camps will use the Main House that includes lounges, restaurant, view deck and swimming pool. It has been designed and decorated in a modern African style that creates a fresh and light ambiance, very welcoming but with a touch of luxury. Guests can observe the Great Migration from the comfort of their tents.

After breakfast transfer to the Kogatende airtsrip for your flight to Tarime. You will complete border formalities for entry in Kenya before flying from Migori airstrip to Ol Seki airstrip. Met on arrival and transfer to the Mara-Naboisho Conservancy and to Encounter Mara for the next four nights. Set in the sought-after Mara Naboisho Conservancy, in the Masai Mara Kenya, award-winning Encounter Mara is the stuff safari dreams are made of. Enjoy some of the best game viewings in Africa all year round from the low-key yet lavish comfort of this superb eco-camp. Shaded by a thick acacia forest, Encounter Mara is a Mara tented camp that enjoys glorious views of the surrounding savannah, while closer at hand a salt lick attracts a range of animals throughout the day, from plains game to big cats. The sheer comfort of the traditional-style safari camp means that there are few more rewarding places from which to experience this slice of wild Africa.
About the Mara Naboisho Conservancy
Guests at Encounter Mara will often find themselves the only vehicle in sight, surrounded by a pride of lions. The “rat race” of the National Reserve’s hoards of reckless vans will be in stark contrast to the natural rhythm of the camp’s activities. Well-trained guides will passionately reveal a world of wonder to their guests, taking the time to enjoy and explain the more subtle aspects of the bush, as well as ensuring unrivalled encounters with Africa’s revered big game species. The valley in which the camp is located is well-known as being the territory of a pride of 22 lions, several resident leopards and a wide variety of plains game, including large herds of elephant and giraffe. The open savannah found on either side of the valley also provides frequent cheetah sightings, as they hunt the bountiful herds of gazelle. The conservancy receives impressive numbers of wildebeest during the annual migration, and between June and October guests will be astounded by these herds as they flood into the conservancy by their tens of thousands from the Northern Loita plains and Southern Serengeti herds.
Game drives
Game drives are offered twice daily and take in the Conservancy. In the conservancy, off-road driving is permitted – this gives you the liberty to explore every hidden valley and secret corner. Also available is the opportunity to spot some of Kenya’s famous ‘nightlife’ on an evening game drive when darkness falls. Game Drives are also possible in the adjoining Masai Mara Reserve (additional costs apply).
Cultural & community visits
The majority of Encounter Mara’s guides are drawn from the local Maasai communities and are landowners in the conservancy. They are always eager to share their culture and way of life with interested guests, and visits to nearby villages and homesteads are easily arranged. Please note cultural & community visits are at an additional cost of US$30 per person.
